WOLFSBURG WERKS is probably one of the largest Volkswagen Aircooled Specialists within the South West. We are based in the heart of Devon, directly off the A30, giving us a fantastic location which is very accessible and convenient to get to.

Our specialist restorer Danny, at Wolfsburg Werks is a factory trained BMW technician. He is a fully qualified welder and has been working on German cars for over 28 years. During this time, he has worked in dealerships in many locations including London, Germany and California. Although being trained by BMW, he is an expert in Volkswagen restoration and has always worked on Volkswagen BEETLES, CAMPER VANS and KARMANN GHIAS.

One of the questions he gets asked many times is "What is your favourite?", to which he says “I must admit out of all of them my favourite is the Karmann Ghia, I love the styling of them and I love restoring them”.

He initially started restoring Beetles and Vans for friends and family in his spare time, however it wasn’t long before his reputation spread and now demand has grown to such an extent that restoration is his main concern. Something that he certainly does not complain about, as he says “it’s great when your job is something that you love”.

At Wolfsburg Werks we offer a complete service, from partial or full restorations to engine rebuilds on all air-cooled Volkswagen engines.

We have a fully equipped and fully insured workshop, which is based in Okehampton Devon, however we do restoration work for clients all over the UK and Europe and offer a very reasonably priced collection and delivery service to help customers. All clients are kept up to date with regular reports and photographs sent via e-mail, and we find clients think this is a very good way of keeping in contact.

We are currently carrying out restoration work for a number of customers all over the UK, however previously clients have come from as far as Inverness and France, so you can tell distance is no problem.

All work is 100% correct and comes with a full guarantee no exceptions. You will also find our rates are very competitive with other professional restoration specialists. Although Wolfsburg Werk’s opening hours are from 9-5, we regularly work into the early hours of the morning to help customers out.
